"..Rightly acclaimed for their explosive live show, Majorette brings to the table where most artists fail; well crafted pop
rock with attitude and substance. Singer Katarina Auster has the pinup gleam of Blondie.." -Kings of A&R
"..Sounds like Gwen Stefani's evil twin." -The Village Voice
Throw the best party and have a beautiful blonde running the show. Katarina emerges as rock's next bombshell icon. She evokes
early Madonna with her superstar quality and stimulating street cred. She pivots between impulsive slams or sultry ballads
with the sweetheart smart of Gwen Stefani. Prepare to have your heart broken and your ass kicked. This is Majorette.
Lead singer, Katarina Auster, moved to New York City with her sights set on the rock scene. Whether studying at the Juilliard
School or modeling, "Everything I did," she says, "was edging towards
the music. I just wanted to be on stage; push the hot bravado of Iggy Pop and Mick Jagger with only the tighest songmanship." Auster began writing with Billy Mann (Jessica
Simpson, Pink) and Mike Mangini (Joss Stone). Collaborating with all-star players like guitarist J3 (Tommy Lee) and drummer
Carlos Aguilar (40 Below Summer), the band entered the studio and recorded their debut album with renowned producers David
Bendeth (Breaking Benjamin, Hawthorne Heights, Killswitch Engage) and John Agnello (Jimmy Eat World, Kim Deal, Mark Lanegan).
What resulted is an irresistible journey of playful lust and love lost. So undeniable is her allure that MTV featured
Katarina in the "Rockstar" episode of Made, appropriately seeking her advice on how to become a rock star. Majorette has
since inked their publishing deal with EMI and landed press representation with PMK. They've also appeared on , New York
Magazine, A.M. New York, and Maxim's Sirius Radio..
